Things to remember

1)    It’s in your best interest not to drink the tap water
2)    Avoid cyclo ride after dark
3)    Dress modestly and appropriately when visiting local dwellings and religious sites, etc
4)    Leave your valuables behind before a night out in the town or going to the beach
5)    When crossing the road, always keep looking to the left and right walk slowly and never change  your mind!
6)    Don’t offer money directly to hill-tribe people – instead donate to a local charity or offer a small gifts, such as a pen
7)    However frustrated, don’t loose your temper, as it won’t get you very far
8)    Always ask permission first before taking photographs
